As electronic music continues to explode throughout the world, a new generation of young producers is taking the scene to places it’s never been and Paris & Simo are leading the charge. The 21-year old duo from Montreal, Canada was formed in 2010 and has already earned support from some of the biggest DJs in the industry including Tiesto, Bob Sinclair, Hardwell, Max Vangeli and many others.
Their massive productions have earned them a reputation for excellence in the studio as they continue to release hit after hit. Hardwell was quick to sign their original track “Monk” to Revealed Recordings at the end of 2011, and Tiesto shortly after followed his lead by choosing their remix of his single “Work Hard Play Hard” to be an official release on Musical Freedom. They rounded out 2011 with “Aura”, a collaboration with Mark Mendes that reached #13 on the Beatport progressive house charts via his label Starter Records and then came back for their second release with Starter in 2012 called “Aztec”.
No strangers to the decks, Paris & Simo have played alongside such acts as Dirty South, Sebastian Ingrosso, Sander Van Doorn, Nicky Romero, Chris Lake and many more. 2011 saw them take part in Resolution Quebec and open the stage for Deadmau5 & Skrillex to a roaring crowd of 6,000 people. And when Insomniac Events launched their first ever Discovery Project for the 2012 Electric Daisy Carnival, Paris & Simo were identified by the promoters as some of the most promising rising talent in the world and they were selected to play at the renowned festival which drew over 345,000 attendees over the weekend. Now, with all eyes on them and a slew of new tracks to continue the momentum, Paris & Simo are taking giant steps into the future of EDM and pushing house music to new levels.
