艺人介绍

by Larry BelangerZen Dog's Julie Klein sings lead vocals, plays bass guitar, and makes an attractive frontwoman with a fantastic figure and naturally curly auburn hair. Donna Acierno can be found on the keyboard as well as doing backup vocals for Zen Dog; she also is very pleasing to the eyes. Maintaining an unbelievable energy level as an astonishing drummer is Peter Charles. He was formerly a member of Ram Jam, and his powerful skills propelled the hit tune "Black Betty" to the top of the pop charts. Martin Lara's guitar work has been described as adding a mysterious soulful vibe to Zen Dog's music. His backup vocals add another dimension to their melodic harmonies. This promising band has generated much support from within the industry. The recording studio, Criteria, a home to the rich and famous of the music business, donated studio time for the Zen Dog 1999 CD It Is What It Is. Mike Couzzi, a recording engineer who worked on Carlos Santana's 1999 smash CD Supernatural lent his creative skills to It Is What It Is. Mike Couzzi helped create a CD with an amazing sound. The professional cover design was also a donated piece of work bestowed in the name of love and art. "It moves me that so many people believe in us," Julie Klein has stated, "I'm so excited that now all their believing, all their time, talent and cash invested are paying off big time." Naturally, Julie Klein has dreams of platinum sales, sold-out tours, and multi-million dollar movie soundtrack deals, but she is well aware that it is a means to an end. "The only way you can make a living playing is to have some measure of fame. One of the things that ties us together in Zen Dog is that our dream and our love is to play." Once people have heard Zen Dog's creative and original music, Julie Klein and the other members that make up Zen Dog may just have all of their dreams come true. The band underwent some personnel changes following the release of It is What It Is, with Klein eventually remaining as the only original member. Al Gavett and Larry Ellington on guitar, Mack Preston on drums and backup vocals make up the revamped edition of this south Florida party-rock band.
