by Marisa BrownIt seemed to only be a matter of time before Montreal-based musicians Harris Newman (of Esmerine and Hrsta, and perhaps better known for his mastering work for a myriad Canadian bands) and Bruce Cawdron (of Godspeed You Black Emperor!) began playing together, a union that was finally realized with Newman's 2003 debut solo album, Non-Sequiturs. Cawdron also contributed percussion to the follow-up, 2005's Accidents with Nature and Each Other, and the two decided to officially make a record together as the band Triple Burner. In 2006, their self-titled debut was released on Madrona Records.
