Formed in Graz, Austria, in 1993, the Shenanigans offer a real international flair to the Celtic rock scene as bandmembers hail from England, Ireland, Canada, and Austria. Their approach lies more in the classic folk-rock style employed by bands like Seven Nations and Kips Bay. Shenanigans was released in 1996 and after several personnel changes, the follow-up Setlist was released in 1998. Their third release, Grado, was released in 2000. All three albums feature the lead singing of Irish vocalist Annette Casey. Canadian piper James joined the band prior to their second release and Austrian fiddler Harald Regenfelder replaced Manfred Pieber after Setlist. Other current members include brothers Richard Cheese and Robert Cheese from England, on bass and guitars, respectively, and Graz natives Tina Untersmayr on whistles and Michael Willmann on drums.
