Jazz and cabaret singer Hilde Louise Asbjornsen was born in Sykkylven, Norway, in 1976. Bringing to mind such cool vocal jazz artists as Billie Holiday and June Christy, she released her debut album, Eleven Nights and Two Early Mornings, in 2004. Birdie Blues followed in 2005. In 2006, Asbjornsen released No Vil Eg Vake Med Deg, a tribute to iconic Swedish vocalist Monica Zetterlund.
