by Chris TrueOriginally known as the Pamela Martinez Band, this Boston group (Pamela Martinez, and keyboardist and instrumentalist Brian Hamilton) started out as a duo before changing names and expanding their roster to include guitar and percussion. In its original identity the group released a four-song EP in 2005, which was a critical hit, garnering comparisons to artists like Björk. Upon the release of the group's first full-length, Care Package, however, the name of the band was changed to Teletextile (combining the love of fabrics with the future of music all in one go) and members Dan McCool and Luke Schneiders were added to fill out the band's live sound.
