An emo-styled punk rock band out of San Diego, California, Weatherbox is essentially singer, guitarist, and songwriter Brian Warren and whatever musicians he assembles to tour or record with, making Weatherbox closer in feel and tone to a solo act. After a stint in My American Heart, Warren recorded and produced an EP, The Clearing, under the Weatherbox name, which was released in 2006 by Doghouse Records, and followed it a year later in 2007 with another EP, 4 Songs, as well as a full-length album, American Art. The Manbox EP arrived in 2009, as did a second full-length, The Cosmic Drama, with yet another EP, Follow the Rattle of the Afghan Guitar, arriving in 2011. A split EP with Person L was next in 2012, with another split EP, this time with Sainthood Reps, appearing in 2013. A third full-length, Flies in All Directions, finally arrived in 2014. ~ Steve Leggett
