艺人介绍

When the popular Andalusian pop group Los Caños disbanded in 2005, one-third of the trio was offered a solo deal with Sony BMG. Kiko (b. October 15, 1985) had recorded four successful discs with Los Caños, and appreciated the opportunity to make a name for himself as a solo artist. His sister Shara, younger by two years (b. June 6, 1987), was invited to sing a duet with him on his debut solo CD. However, when record execs heard the siblings singing together, they fell in love with the idea of Kiko & Shara. The brother and sister then went into the studio with producer Alejo Stivel (La Oreja de Van Gogh, Joaquín Sabina, Carlos Nunez, Los Caños) to blaze a new trail as a duo. This would be Shara's first professional production, and Kiko's first opportunity to record his own original material. Their self-titled CD hit the market in May 2006, featuring the radio hit &Puede Ser,& written by longtime Los Caños guitarist and collaborator Ismael Moya. With the siblings having sung together for many years before Kiko's professional career, their artistic reunion was seen by both as a natural and welcome progression. &There is more confidence and more support when it's all in the family,& says Kiko. The duo continued to tour throughout Spain in support of the record.
