by Bradley TorreanoFolk artist Heidi Stone first began performing at an early age, taking lessons from a classical guitarist and listening to choral works and concertos. She also absorbed hand-me-downs from her cousins, including albums by the Clash, the Beatles, and Henry Mancini, among others. She attempted to learn the drums and the trumpet on top of her guitar playing, but eventually began writing folk music. She eventually released her debut album, Wash It Away, to praise from the folk community. She toured and continued to play live, eventually going back to the studio for 2002's Cup.
