Electronic industrial producer Mark Alan Miller formed the Out Out project in 1989 to release his own recordings while running a recording studio in Northampton, Massachusetts. He first debuted in a group called Vein Cage with Peter Dysparia, but then began recording on his own (with the frequent help of Dysparia on guitar). With the help of Tackhead's Skip McDonald on production, the debut Out Out album Pepperbox Muzzle was released in 1991 on Axis Records. The Finched album followed soon after, but the release of third album Nisus was delayed by over two years -- mostly taken up by recording and signing with Metropolix Records. Voiceprint appeared in late 1997.
