1994年カリフォルニア州 バークレー生まれ。音楽家。 2015年「So I began」を発表。音や言葉を紡ぎ歌うこと、そして日本各地に伝わる民謡を唄い繋ぐことを始める。最新作は2020年8月、写真家・Miho Kajiokaの写真を迎えた民謡集 「摘んだ花束 小束になして」。 ソロ名義の活動の他、坂本龍一 ソロアルバム「async」コーラス参加や、night crusingからThere is a foxと「Light Waves」のリリース。そして近年ではharuka nakamura とのコラボレーションを重ね、ユニットarcaを2020年から本格始動。ユニットのファーストアルバムとして「世界」を今年10月にリリース予定。作詞、ナレーション、モデル、写真家・Ariko Inaokaの最新作 「Eagle and Raven」の翻訳など、音楽の垣根を越え、活動は多岐に渡る。 カリフォルニア、デンマーク、パリ、東京を経て、現在は京都を拠点に活動中。Born in Berkeley, California, LUCA is a singer-songwriter based in Tokyo.Her work includes vocal performances on Ryuichi Sakamoto’s solo album “async”, as well as some recent collaborations with haruka nakamura. In September 2019, LUCA releases the album “Light Waves” in collaboration with Kyoto based singer-songwriter There is a fox.LUCA currently resides in Kyoto after living in various places such as California, Denmark and Paris.Away from music, LUCA has provided narrations for commercials and for a planetarium. She also does translation work in various fields.
