Following the "Defiant Till Death" promo, the entire band other than founder and vocalist Sean Hetherington departed due to growing difference in the musical direction of Intense. This release had the band playing the heaviest Sean wanted them to be, while his bandmates wanted to go in a more down-tuned, less melodic direction.
Sean Hetherington also played guitar in the early days of the band.
