by Mike DaRoncoBringing out more of a moodier, darker effect to pure, mellowed out pop was thanks to the collaboration between Vess Ruhtenberg (vocals/ guitar); Mark Cutsinger (drums) and Mark Maher (bass/ vocals) who make up the United States Three. With their 1996 debut She's the World and Le Temps Du Tempo the following year, Mitch Getz (keyboards/ guitar/ vocals) and Courtney Kaiser (vocals) were eventually recruited to complete the Creatures, released in 1999; Watergate followed that same year.
