Aaron Sprinkle is a producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and all around ball of energy whose enthusiasm, passion and creativity has resulted in startlingly vibrant collaborations with a host of influential trailblazers, including Anberlin, The Almost, Emery, Hawk Nelson, Falling Up, Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch and MxPx.

Aaron’s considerable chops, diverse tastes, well-rounded experience and technical knowhow as leader of his own groups like Poor Old Lu and Fair have informed the contributions he’s made to the countless albums treasured by fans around the world, from platinum selling acts like the worshipful wordsmith Jeremy Camp to critically acclaimed “band’s band” outfits like the pioneering Acceptance.

Groups like Demon Hunter, whose devoted following regularly tattoo the band’s symbols and lyrics on themselves, count Aaron as something of an extra “member” due to his long-running and deeply rooted participation in their careers. A cursory glance at Sprinkle’s impressive discography reveals a body of work as diverse as it is captivating: the lush and layered depths of Acceptance’s single full-length, Phantoms, which is held in high regard by everyone from Throwdown to Sleeping With Sirens; the stripped down and hauntingly earnest arrangements of former Underoath drummer Aaron Gillespie’s first record as The Almost, Southern Weather; the career reinvention of the underrated sophomore Jonezetta album, Cruel to be Young (still one of Aaron’s favorites). Sprinkle has run the gamut across a broad spectrum that includes radio rock, indie pop, roots music and smarter metal.

As fruitful of a career as it has become, for Aaron, it’s still more about the relationship with the band and the connection to their music than the dollars and cents from the label or critical acclaim from the press. The important thing for a band / Aaron Sprinkle collaboration is when the group arrives open to the creative experience and happy to have some help from a seasoned artist. “I’m not going to force someone to be something they are not,” he says. “But I completely push the limits of the band so they can get what they want.”

“I still personally believe in the magic, the indescribable magic, of being in a recording studio making a real record,” he adds.” You have to fly there and you have to stay in a hotel and. There are people there bustling around doing things that you don't even know what they are doing. There is something magical about that and I still feel that way when I make records. That is something that I don't want to die.”

With that old-school approach combined with his consistently comprehensive involvement, Aaron continues to be as excited by the albums he’s making as he was when he was a little kid splicing wires together to record his own songs. “I make music for the same reason that I love listening to it: because it is a fun, exciting and connects on a emotional, spiritual, soul level. My favorite thing is to get in the studio with a band and for all of us to go, ‘Yes! This sounds awesome!’”
