艺人介绍

Freak folk artist Matt “MV” Valentine was a member of the New York experimental rock collective MV & EE throughout the 2000s, before moving to Vermont to build his own rural home studio and get in touch with nature. Over the next ten years at Maximum Arousal Farm, he reportedly made over 100 physical recordings, putting out cassettes, LPs, and CD-Rs on Audible Hiss, Child of Microtones, Fringes Recordings, Father Yod, Ecstatic Peace!, Qbico, and Siltbreeze. Much of Valentine’s music was inspired by Indian classical and psychedelic folk, and mixed improvisational acoustic recordings with field sounds, tape loops, and his own spaced-out vocals. In 2011, his lo-fi, hippie style piqued the interest of the people at Woodsist Records, and What I Became was released. ~ Jason Lymangrover
