by Jason BirchmeierOne of Andreas Tillianders many monikers, Mokira showcases the producers beat-laden ambient style, which juxtaposes steady rhythms with turbid glitch and hazy static. Tillianders first album as Mokira, Cliphop (2000), won him much acclaim as well as a recording contract with Mille Plateaux, for whom he recorded his follow-up, Plee (2002). In addition, other labels such as Klanggalerie and Fat Cat have released one-off Mokira recordings.
