by John BushBorn in North Dakota but based in Minneapolis, Woody McBride first gained a name for his acid-based techno under the aliases DJ ESP, 4D, and through the Earthworm series, recorded for New Yorks EX label. McBride also released singles through Drop Bass Network and Germanys Labworks, but founded his own Communique label (plus subsidiaries Sounz and Head in the Clouds) for recordings from Josh Wink, DJ Skull, Damon Wild and his own singles.
