by Craig HarrisThe traditional jigs, reels and ballad of Ireland are preserved through the music of Cruiskeen. Formerly known as Shamrog, the group continues to reflect the same commitment to the musical traditions of Irelands past. Ambassadors of the Irish Tourist Board, Cruiskeen has performed in Canada, the United States, Mexico, France, Sweden, Hong Kong, the Phillipines, Indonesia and Germany. In 1996, the quartet joined with lead guitarist John Connolly and drummer Keith Connolly to record an album, Alive And Drinkin In Ireland, at Molly Malones Bar in Dublin.
