by Larry BelangerRodney Thibodeaux and Tout Les Soir pride themselves on the ability of not only playing traditional Cajun music, but also Zydeco, South Louisiana Swamp Pop, Blues, Country and 50s 60s Rock & Roll. They also play something they call Progressive Cajun, which is primarily traditional Cajun music with a bit of Tout Les Soir spice added to it. Rodney Thibodeaux, accordian player and vocalist for Tout Les Soir, was born in Church Point Louisiana. In 1999 he made his home in Port Allen Louisiana. A few of the bands that he has played in are, The Echofee Cajun Band and The Bayou Blasters. The Bayou Blasters eventually became what is now known as the Tout Les Soir band. Gilman Agillard, the fiddle player, lived in Port Barre Louisiana in 1999, which is just a few miles east of Opelousas Louisiana. He was also a member of The Echofee Cajun Band. Gordan Butch Golsan, drummer, is originally from Mansfield Louisiana, but in 1999 was living in the Baton Rouge area. He is one of the new members of Tout Les Soir, and fairly new to the Cajun music genre. Some of the past bands Butch Golsan was in include, The Noise, The Human Rays a new wave band in the 80s, and most recent in the 90s, The Vibrators, a blues band from the Baton Rouge area. Butch Landry, bass and vocals, is also a new member of Tout Les Soir. He is originally from Abbeville Louisiana, spent a lot of time in the Morgan City area, and in 1999 could be found in and around Baton Rouge. In the 60s he had his own band, Butch and the Boppers. Butch Landry has been involved with several Cajun bands including, The Cajun Red Hots and Jay Cormier. John Ortis, rhythm guitar and vocals, lives in Baker Louisiana. He played Rock & Roll as a young man, but started listening and playing Cajun music seven years ago, and has not looked back since. He was a member of the popular Cajun band, Wallace Trahan and Rice & Gravy. He joined Tout Les Soir in 1995, and has written an original song, Baby Why, for the 1999 release, Dansé Tout Les Soir. Suzanne Fallon, T-fer and vocals, is a transplanted Cajun from the swamps of South Florida. This is Suzanne Fallons first experience singing with a band. . She lives in the Baton Rouge area.
