The history of Radiorama could be classified into two clearly distinguishable stages: the first one, from 1985 to 1988 to 1989, ie, during the reign of Italodisco and Hi-NRG dance floors in the European-Radiorama productions were sung by Mauro Farina (lead vocal) and Simona Zanini (female voice training); addition, subjects were essentially composed, conducted and arranged by Mauro Farina & Giuliano Crivellente, which also carried the production &executive& or direct same (economic production was undertaken, in most of these issues, Paolo Gemma and Marco Bresciani).

Since then (1988-89) to the present have continued to appear in the new music market productions signed under the name &Radiorama&, made and without the vocal performance of the classic Farina-Zanini, although produced and composed by the first, and published in the Italian label 21st Century Records, created in 1993 by Farina himself and integrated turn the label group SAIFAM.

These productions are a style closer to Eurobeat (with the sole exception of &Aliens 2: The Nightmare&, released in 1992, and strongly reminiscent melodies - but not the implementation - of the time Italo); style in some countries has been termed as &Euroenergy& and that could be defined as the Hi-NRG sound currently practiced in Italy.

This page is mainly dedicated to the productions made during the Italodisco (you can find more information on the productions of the last time Eurodance Hits WWW (USA).

The story begins in 1985 Radiorama, when the great composer and performer Simona Zanini up with Italian producer Martinelli an item entitled Chance to desire, this issue would be initially only released as a single in the Italian label Out Records. Apparently, the vocal theme was made by an Italian artist named Hank Shostack, which surely remember his hit &Do not tell me& (published in 1986 and licensed in Spain by Black and White).

Chance to desire was the only production during the Italo Radiorama conducted without the participation of Mauro Farina and Giuliano Crivellente although composed and Simona Zanini.

After this first success (later released as a maxi-single also in Discomagic) begins what could be considered authentic Radiorama musical career, the vehement Mauro Farina solo performance, coupled with the powerful voice of Simona Zanini and production line Farina & Crivellente provided their productions (with a profusion of vocals and sound effects, a relatively low BPM and instrumentation trabajadísima) helped to create a unique sound, powerful and unique in Radiorama issues, which can also be found in other jewels of the same era as &My dream& voltage or &All the night&, or &Warrior& by Riki Maltese, also produced by Farina & Crivellente. The absolute masterpiece of sound that is possibly Desire, held in 1985, in my opinion, this is one of the best songs ever conceived, and not only within the Italo sound ...

After Desire (also released as a single and as maxi, in two different stamps: Discomagic Out Records) would an uninterrupted, during 1986 and 1987, of great masterpieces, the first of which were Hey hey and Vampires. Following the great success achieved so far, Farina & Crivellente decided to record a full-length, which was called Desires and Vampires and was released in 1986. Both maxis and the album were recorded for Out Records, but these successes, Yeti and Aliens (both in 1986) - and appear under the label Discomagic (who was also the company responsible for carrying out the distribution of all productions).

The second LP not long in coming, be entitled precisely The second album, appearing in 1987 and was the first reference to a new label, Radiorama Records, in which, from then until 1993 (date Mauro Farina would create 21st Century Records), would be published all new productions.

Also in 1987 was licensed in some countries, including Spain, the remix of Chance to desire, as well as two new masterpieces: So I know and Fire.

The latter edition discs largely coincided with the Italian sound progression towards new sounds: the Hi-NRG began to prevail throughout Europe, and many producers began to set aside traditional schemes to approach Italodisco even commercial formulas: thus begins the period of greatest success as Gipsy and Queen formations, Fun Fun or Sophie, or Albert Savage One discs made by Farina & Crivellente were no exception to this, and thus the new Atrium productions or Fred Ventura denote such influence, while others like Joe Yellow Riki Maltese or remain closer to the classic sound of Italo Disco.

The sound of Radiorama experienced during this time a progression toward Hi-NRG, Farina & Crivellente give their productions a higher BPM and a greater role for the female voice. However, the acceptance of new issues remains high, and ABCD / Bad Girls is a resounding success during the summer of 1988. The same year is Manitu and third full-length, The Legend, in which we still find, however, subjects interpreted directly by Mauro Farina in style, although faster, yet close to the formula of traditional Italodisco; Heartbreaker or Bye bye baby are good examples of this.

The next job, after editing, also in 1988, is a Mix Medley, and in 1989, Bad boy you, it would be also the subject of a remix in the summer of that year, which would be published after the new album (Four years after) and a double LP entitled The Best of Radiorama, we can consider the best witness of the great number of productions began in 1985 with Chance to desire, since the next maxi-single, Baciami, can be considered directly related to the last stage &Italodisco& and the beginning of the progression toward the sound that characterized Eurobeat productions by Mauro Farina relizadas under the name of &Radiorama& in the 90s, in addition to being the last one has the classical interpretation and production of Radiorama.

It still, however, have one last production, Aliens 2: The Nightmare, published in 1993, which reminds instrumentation (largely thanks to the vocal performance, four years later, Mauro Farina) Radiorama classic discography, if well its BPM is much higher than in the productions and Hi-Nrg Italo-80s.
