by Joslyn LayneKletka Red create high energy punk rock originals and covers of classic klezmer tunes. Led by Berlin-based singer and guitarist Leonid Soybelman, the band also includes the drummer from Japans Ground Zero, Tony Buck, and guitarist Andy Ex, of the Dutch rock band The Ex. Kletka Red released their international debut, Hijacking, on John Zorns Tzadik label in 1996. They have stunned and impressed audiences at various new music festivals, including 1997s Taktlos festival and Quebecs FIMAV in 1998.
