O I S E A U X - T E M P Ê T E [wazo-tɑ̃.pɛːt] is an instrumental, free rock trio formed in Paris in 2012 by musicians Frédéric D. Oberland, Stéphane Pigneul [both members of FareWell Poetry and Le Réveil des Tropiques] and Ben Mc Connell [Beach House, Au Revoir Simone, Marissa Nadler]. On their self-titled debut album (2013), they intertwine their creative process with the work of French photographer and filmmaker Stéphane C, who has documented the existential conflicts brought on by the political and economic turmoil in Greece. In 2014 the group invited a selection of kindred spirits and remixers to lend their talents to Re-Works (2014) including Scanner, Aun, Saåad, Justin Small's Do Make Say Think, May Roosevelt, etc. The trio is currently working around their second album featuring Gareth Davis on bass clarinet.
