"Serial Killer" is an unreleased song recorded by American singer and songwriter Lana Del Rey. It was recorded as one of the first tracks for Del Rey's second studio album, Born to Die (2012) but didn't make the cut. The lyrics and musical composition are attributed to Del Rey and Peter Ibsen. It leaked online on August 9 (or 8), 2012.
--Wiki
The track was written with Peter Ibsen in March of 2011, prior to Del Rey getting her major-label record deal. In the same sessions, Del Rey and Ibsen recorded "Paradise" and the second and third demo of "This Is What Makes Us Girls". It was considered to be included on Del Rey's debut major-label studio album, Born to Die, but was ultimately not included.
Certain fans suspected that the song would be re-recorded and featured on Del Rey's 2015 studio album Honeymoon, due to the song being registered and performed months prior to the album's release, but this was proven false once the album's track list was revealed.
Del Rey performed the song as part of the setlist on every date of the 2015 Endless Summer Tour. The first performance was on May 7 in The Woodlands, Texas, performed alongside the other unreleased songs "Us Against the World" and "You Can Be the Boss". Del Rey also performed this song live on several dates as part of her setlist for the 2016 Festival Tour as well as a portion of her 2017 performances and various shows of the LA to the Moon Tour in 2018.
