Review by Nitsuh Abebe
Colosamite is an abraisive and aggressive band, and All Lingo's Clamor does live up to this aim -- but compared to the 1998 album which followed it, the EP comes out seeming less abrasive and almost normal. All of the deconstructive skree and fractured screaming is, of course, there, but it is, strangely enough, almost listenable -- and while this sort of relative accesibility might be a plus with most bands, it tends to make All Lingo's Clamor look a tad weak in comparison to its successors. Colosamite is shooting for extremes, and 1998's Economy of Motion reaches those idiosyncracies with an impressive power -- All Lingo's Clamor is rendered almost obsolete by that record's over-the-top, deeply unsettling rock.
