We're so excited to be working on debut albums from some fantastic bands this year and this one is no exception!
Back in 2011, having graced the 7" shelves with their astonishing 'Underneath Tonight' single, all eyes were on Melbourne shoegaze quartet Lowtide, patiently awaiting their next move.
Now, after what seems an eternity in this age of attention deficiency, our heroes finally have their affairs in order for their triumphant return and the release of their eponymous debut album.
Lowtide, produced by Gareth Parton (The Go! Team, The Breeders, Foals) combines the slow-burning energy and blistering harmony narcosis the band has been subtly refining for the past few years.
The album's first single 'Blue Movie' continues the band's dreampop love affair, Double J's Karen Leng describing it thusly: "Heavily layered guitars, dreamy vocals buried deep, oodles of reverb; it’s a lovely sound."
Recorded and produced by Gareth Parton at Soundpark, SingSing and Los Bomberos.
Mastered by Noel Summerville at 3345 Mastering UK.
Album design by Darren Sylvester.
