睽违长达4年时间，由乐团一手独立製作《El Pintor》全新大碟，于Jimi Hendrix打造+John Storyk设计，Bob Dylan、John Lennon都曾使用过的Electric Lady Studios录音，交付协助过My Bloody Valentine、The Smashing Pumpkins、Nine Inch Nails的英国籍Alan Moulder担纲混音大任。首次少了离团的元老贝斯/键盘手Carlos Dengler效力，由Paul暂时取代位置。同时精彩请到Secret Machines的Brandon Curtis+曾协助Morrissey长达5年键盘演奏的Roger Joseph Manning, Jr+Bon Iver的Rob Moose等一干好友前来助阵，已经获得Drowned In Sound送上(9/10)+Q(8/10)近满分推崇。深陷颓圮泥沼的前引，接著在毫无预警下敲打出庞克猛重声响，让主打〈All The Rage Back Home〉晋升至告示牌另类摇滚榜NO.33席次；畅快淋漓享受袭脑爽劲的〈Anywhere〉，碰撞粗犷不羁的火花，灿烂又令人著迷不已；澎湃的鼓击和低迷噪音吉他驱使〈Everything Is Wrong〉，熊熊火炬燃烧出内心炙热灵魂，一路到〈Breaker 1〉，给予强大的力量，引爆一发不可收拾的情绪效应！

Interpol have announced the release of their new album El Pintor (that's Spanish for "the painter"). The follow-up to to 2010's self-titled LP arrives September 9 in North America and September 8 internationally.

The band recorded the LP at Electric Lady Studios and Atomic Sound in New York City with James Brown (Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters), while mixing was handled by Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails) in London.
