Hello!
So, new year, all that. Lots of exciting things coming up. My new record “Don’t Get Too Grand” will be released on Aporia Records on March 5th, 2013. So soon, you guys. I’m excited for folks to hear the new songs. The first single (well, the 2nd single. Who cares, what does “single” even mean nowadays?) “The Coldest State” will being going out to radio soon, and you’ll be able to stream it. Stream it? Is this a dream? No, it’s actually happening.
Meanwhile, here’s a video of me playing a song called “Put On, Cologne” in the back of a Cadillac:

Also, I told the CBC about my favourite NHL memory, and it involves my friend Marty:

Do you know Marty? He’s a handful, that’s for sure. Side note: read my label-mate Dustin Bentall’s NHL memory as well. It is way better than mine. His brother-in-law is Rob Niedermayer, and he (Dustin) gets to hold the Stanley Cup. Which, if you’re not Canadian, is maybe not a big deal. But, to most Canadians, simply holding the Stanley Cup is tantamount to sainthood or being knighted. I have a friend who got to raise the cup above his head when he was 13 and we still grill him about specifics such as weight, the cup’s general temperature, and whether he could taste glory in and around his mouth as he gently kissed it.
So, in summary, March 5th: “Don’t Get Too Grand”. Here’s the first song we released way back when:

We’ll be announcing concert dates very soon. Come see me, we’ll talk about your personal life. Together we can make it right!
Thanks,
Donovan
