Faded Ghost 是独立音乐人ChaCha的一个分身，2011年她在欧洲交流学习期间受到启发，开始了这个以个人音乐实验为目的的项目. 在这个项目的实验中，她尝试将人声以乐器的方式运用，音乐也不再有固定的形式和表达方式，她偏爱那些从生活和旅行中采集的声音切片，在硬件探索和软件加工中将其重塑，用自己的方式为听众呈现一幅幅充满场景感的声音拼贴画，那些曾经令她印象深刻的时间片段和脑海中浮现的怪诞想法相融合，正是这种抽象和不确定又无法标示的状态让她兴奋不已。

2012年 Faded Ghost 在上海独立厂牌SVBKVLT旗下小试牛刀，发行了这个项目的第一个ep 《Ghost Ark》,在欧洲制作的限量磁带在首发期间迅速售罄，其中的曲目也被诸如BBC Radio 1 等知名电台推荐播放，这些音乐至今仍被很多私人电台DJ收入歌单。

《Moon Mad》专辑介绍

时隔五年之后，Faded Ghost即将在今年5月发行新专辑《Moon Mad》,这是一次全新的实验探索的成果，一段游历时光的结晶，一段反思与警醒的冥想，一次对过去的自己和惯有方式的解构。在这五年间，Faded Ghost在世界各地游历，体会日月星辰在地球不同纬度的升降，感受昼与夜自然与万物发出的声音频率，置身于不同的生活习俗和宗教文明的冲撞中，她感受到一种更原始更直接的共鸣。

《Moon Mad》通过这五年期间采集到的声音切片尝试延续这种共鸣，通过这样的对话方式来感知自己在自然环境中的位置，与宗教和精神信仰的联系，与不同语言不同种族的同源性，和声音本身所传递的真实信息。通过对这些声音切片的重塑让听者自发的进入她所描绘的场景，进入这个场景的空间频率，从而与听者产生隐性的对话。一如月相变化引起的潮汐涨落，也影响着我们的语言，历法，艺术和神话，甚至操纵着四季和温度，以及我们的情绪和内在能量的变化，这成为了将整张专辑紧密连结在一起的灵感动机。

《Moon Mad》即将于2017年5月在上海独立唱片厂牌Svbkvlt旗下发行，5月21日在豆瓣主办的北京Wetware音乐节上首发演出。操刀制作了Faded Ghost首张专辑封面的艺术家Nini Sum (爱豆笔此)，以专辑为灵感，创作了封面及每首作品对应的11幅画作，印制成极具收藏价值的Riso画册限量发售，开创音乐+独立出版的新形式。

‘Mood Mad’ is the debut album from Faded Ghost, an alias of Guizhou born, Shanghai based independent artist ChaCha. Using her voice as an instrument and layering field recordings with a combination of hardware and software, she creates collages soundtracking her memories, experiences and dreams.

Following her well received debut EP release ‘Ghost Ark’, SVBKVLT’s first release in 2012, ‘Moon Mad’ expands on Faded Ghost’s sound and space. Through her travels since the first EP, the album explores feelings and experiences of the sun and moon at different latitudes around the globe and the collisions of sound, culture and technology in these regions. Using and reshaping sound samples collected over 5 years, and observing the connection that language, culture and religion plays on the sounds of a location, ‘Moon Mad’ looks at the power of tidal fluctuations caused by the position of the moon, and the effect this has on language, the calendar, art and mythology, as well as the weather and seasons, and the effect this has on the mood and intrinsic energy of an individual as well as a group.

‘Moon Mad’ will be released on Shanghai’s SVBKVLT label in May 2017, with Faded Ghost premiering her new live set at Douban’s Wetware Festival in Beijing on Sunday 21st May. Each of the 11 tracks on the album feature its own artwork from IdleBeats’ Nini Sum, and the images will be collected and indie-published as a limited edition riso zine to coincide with the albums release.
