Remember that collaborative album between Sun Kil Moon and Jesu that we reported on earlier this year? Now, we've got the full details surrounding that upcoming release.
The LP is very logically titled Jesu/Sun Kil Moon. Its release is still a ways off, since it will be coming out on February 19 of 2016 through Sun Kil Moon leader Mark Kozelek's own Caldo Verde Records.
The image above, which shows Kozelek with Jesu main man Justin Broadrick (also of Godflesh and many other projects), is the album cover. The tracklist is below; it includes some quintessentially Kozelek-sounding titles like "Last Night I Rocked the Room Like Elvis and Had Them Laughing Like Richard Pryor" and "America's Most Wanted Mark Kozelek and John Dillinger."
Thanks to Stereogum for the tip.
As we previously noted, Kozelek and Broadrick have crossed paths before. Jesu's 2009 album Opiate Sun came out on Caldo Verde, Kozelek covered Godflesh's song "Like Rats" in 2013, and Sun Kil Moon's song "The Possum" name-checks Broadrick.
This album will follow Kozelek's forthcoming Dreams of Childhood - A Spoken Word Album, a poetry LP that's due out on October 27.
