Vivarte is Sonys imprint for recordings of historically informed performances. Some of the finest HIP artists have recorded for the Vivarte label. This representative 60 CD collection includes Tafelmusik, Jeanne Lamon, LArchibudelli, Anner Bylsma, Lutz Kirchhof, Bob van Asperen, Bruno Weil, Gustav Leonhardt, the Huelgas Ensemble led by Paul van Nevel, members of the Kuijken family, Jos van Immerseel, Ab Koster, and the wonderful Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Composers included in the collection: Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, Haydn, Handel, Gombert, Chopin, Telemann, Brahms, Schumann, Schubert, Schutz, Boccherini, Weiss and many others. Some of the highlights include Tafelmusiks superb recordings of Haydn Sturm und Drang Symphonies, the Bach Brandenburg Concertos, several of the more well known Boccherini Cello Concertos, Vivaldis ubiquitous Four Seasons and several other assorted concertos, Handels Music for the Royal Fireworks, Water Music and his Op.3 Concerti Grossi, Mozarts Requiem and a brisk and exciting performance of Haydns oratorio The Creation.
