A-list superstars and B-level artists mix and mingle on Primavera, a scattershot Latin hits disc (think Now That's What I Call Musica). The 16-song collection boasts "a rainbow of Latin musical styles," but it really only exists as a quick cash-in. There are some nice moments here, including a slick pop duet from Italian heartthrob Eros Ramazzotti and grand diva Cher, and a breezy bossa-nova gem from rock outfit Aterciopelados. Most everything on Primavera, however, can be found on other albums. Salsero Jerry Rivera lends new vocals to Santana's sexy title track, but it's hardly enough to justify the retail price. Filling out the album are even older songs from Toni Braxton (a Spanish version of "Un-Break My Heart"), dance artist Joy Enriquez, and Latin crooner Cristian. Save your money and indulge in Maverick Musica's vibrant Platinum Rhythm collection instead. --Joey Guerra
