专辑介绍

Musician, Noah Gundersen, will release his first full-length debut album, Ledges, on February 11, 2014. Announced on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, the album will contain thirteen original singles that address many aspects of life and Gundersen's experiences; these include doubt, love, redemption, faith and mortality. At the young age of 24, Gundersen has had much underground success, previously releasing three solo EP's and a 2011 LP with former band, The Courage. Not only is he successful solo and as a band, but many of his singles have been featured on such hit TV shows as "Sons of Anarchy," "Vampire Diaries," "and One Tree Hill". As a result, he has built a close-knit fan base that continues to grow and fill venues at his performances throughout the country.

While it's no surprise that Gundersen is very wise for his age, he grew up in a very conservative and strict religious background, where he wasn't allowed to listen to secular music growing up. He has moved on from organized religion, yet hasn't relinquished his faith that contribute to who he is and his music. He claims he may be no longer religious, but is deeply spiritual and that energy transcends religion and informs many aspects of his music, with themes that appeal to audiences far and wide. Such notable reflections of his spirituality are evident in his a cappella intro, "Poor Man's Son," and offers the loudest instrument on the track. Heartbreak and first love let-downs are apparent on "First Defeat," and I think I relate to "Cigarettes," as will many others because it's "a metaphor for the addiction associated with an unhealthy love." It's as if we know we don't need it and we know it's unhealthy, but we keep on coming back for more. If we don't let loose, it could eventually kill us mentally, emotionally, and perhaps physically.

Noah Gundersen is a self-proclaimed and very grounded young man, and that's evident in his music and interaction with family, friends and fans. His family is very important to him, along with their ideals he was taught that he still relies fully on. His main collaborator is his sister Abby, who plays violin, piano and cello, and brother Jonathan on the drums, who are both members of his touring band. Ledges was self-produced and recorded at Stone Gossard's of Pearl Jam, Studio Litho in Seattle, where Gundersen currently resides.
