Here's the type of thing record labels routinely do that hinders progress and stops momentum. Sweet Sensation had been hot in 1990 with the Love Child album. But instead of getting them in the studio and generating fresh product, Atco issued a dance remix of old hits. Thus, the group was in essence competing with itself, without anything new to promote. This was an unbelievable move, one that didn't pay off for anyone.
