With a recording career that spans nearly 20 years, Margaret Becker has garnered three Dove Awards, had 19 number one songs, and been nominated for several Grammys. In 2003, she returned from a four-year solo recording hiatus to deliver her first offering on Cross Driven Records, titled Just Come In. On the project, Becker re-records six of her favorite tracks while also covering five new songs. Newer cuts like "You're Worthy" and "My Refuge Be" are rich in acoustic guitars while accenting the passionate vocals that Becker offers up on the disc. "Say the Name" comes from 1993's Soul project. Co-written by Charlie Peacock, the song soars with shades of strings and piano and boasts a beautiful melody, as does "Clay and Water" from 1998's Falling Forward. One of the disc's most potent cuts is the tune "My Refuge Be." The song boasts a meaty verse that pinnacles with a well-sung, inspirational chorus. The tune is a reminder why Becker has hit number one so many times in her career. Just Come In is a disc that reestablishes Margaret Becker as a hitmaker in Christian music. New cuts and old remakes alike are offered up in an inspirational, honest way with Becker's vocals leading the charge.
