by Martin Walters Introducing.....Musica Transonic! on PSF marks the debut recording from Musica Transonic, an underground psychedelic group from Tokyo, which proves a reckless blast of fuzz and feedback that is everything one would expect from a supergroup featuring Nanjo Asahito of High Rise on bass, Yoshida Tatsuya of the Ruins , and Makoto Kawabata from Acid Mothers Temple , plus Toho Sara providing the all-essential guitar overload. Fans of the Tokyo underground of the late '90s-early 2000s -- brace yourselves for a distortion-filled ride through the outer regions of rock on this heavier-than-heavy album. Essentially sounding akin to the sporadic rhythmic inventions and complex drum'n'bass patterns of the Ruins progressive post-punk swamped in a guitar that is purely acid psychedelia. It is evident from the first track that the trio are intent on blowing the dust out of your speakers.
