Producer, songwriter and director Sevdaliza released her long-awaited second album 'Shabrang' on Friday 28 August. 'Shabrang' is completely produced by Sevdaliza together with her regular production partner Mucky. The 15 track album is the long awaited successor to her successful debut album ISON from 2017.
In just a few years, Sevdaliza has established itself as an iconic, highly creative, versatile and independent artist who knows how to distinguish herself far beyond the borders. The impressive video 'HUMAN' from her debut album 'ISON' has collected over 25 million YouTube views to date and masterpiece 'Shahmaran' on mental slavery, won 2 UK Music Video Awards. Sevdaliza has toured 35 countries over the past 2 years and gathered thousands of fans worldwide.
In 2020 Sevdaliza returns with her follow-up album 'Shabrang'. Shabrang is mentioned in Persian mythology. Although there is no literal translation to explain its essence, the Farsi expression Shabrang is translated into the color palette of the night. This 'palette' is visualized in the tones of Sevdaliza's blue eye on the album cover. The blue eye represents the years of physical and emotional turbulence".
In Sevdaliza's words: "This album represents to me that the essence in everything is love. It's a letter to myself, my own bible that I have to write to trust and believe in life'' Born in Iran and living in the Netherlands, Sevdaliza is an unstoppable force in creating and bringing her artistry. She is a producer and engineer, an independent art director with a critical eye for detail and a unique songwriter. Her music is described as ''genre-bending'', using different genres, including alternative electronics, indie, triphop, alternative R&B and avant-garde.
