Hooverphonic are Belgium's own psychedelic electronic ambient dream pop band. While chasing down any of their albums will prove rewarding, this collection of singles released over a ten-year period allows the listener to stand back, as it were, and consider the artistic evolution of this interesting little ensemble. Most of these titles appeared in one form or another on the albums A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular, Blue Wonder Power Milk, The Magnificent Tree, Jackie Cane, the live Sit Down and Listen to Hooverphonic compilation, and No More Sweet Music. Enjoyably trippy strata recommended for counterbalancing, comparing, and contrasting with the wonderfully strange trance pop of the Cranes.
