Angelzoom is a solo project of German vocalist Claudia Uhle and an album launched in 2004, which is dominated by her distinct, high-pitched, opera-like voice. The music itself is difficult to define, it resembles a soundtrack and has also close ties to New Age. Most of the lyrics are in English.
This album (released under the Nuclear Blast label) was marked by participation of a large number of musicians. It was produced by Bernd Wendlandt who wrote all 15 songs (4 of which are covers, though strongly transformed so the originals are difficult to recognize). Most cellos are played by B. Deutung, the guitars by Pitti Piatkowsky, other musicians contributed only on single tracks: Apocalyptica, Joachim Witt, Letzte Instanz, miLú/Mila Mar, Inchtabokatables, Roadernallee and Nik Page.
Previously, Claudia was a singer of German pop band X-perience, who had two hits: A Neverending Dream and Magic Fields. Throughout April 2005 Angelzoom formation is supporting Apocalyptica on their European tour.
