CD Description
'So Strong' is South African vocalist / guitarist Jonathan Butler's first new studio recording for three years and it's been worth the wait. The title track is already making an impact on U.S. Urban Adult Contemporary radio and features his powerful vocals over an infectious, driving rhythm. Also featured on Butlers 15th solo collection are the superb talents of vocalist Angie Stone, saxophonist Dave Koz and trumpeter Rick Braun.
Already known for his U.S. chart-topping success, Grammy nominations and other accolades for his R&B, contemporary jazz, adult pop and gospel recordings, this is Butlers first urban record in quite some time and features eleven songs penned or co-penned by the artist. Other standout tracks are the uplifting Johnny Nash cover "I Can See Clearly Now" and the aforementioned duet with Angie Stone, "Be Here With You" which has the timeless, retro feel of a classic R & B record.
