JOE is singer Joe Thomas who is best known for smooth soul ballads, ever so slightly seasoned by his gospel roots. In 11 years with Jive Records, Joe crooned out R&B hits like “Don’t Wanna Be A Player”, “I Wanna Know”, “Let’s Stay Home Tonight”, “More and More” and “Ride Wit U” and racked up at least 7 Grammy nominations. It’s actually curious JOE hasn’t become a bigger success than he has. Or at least that’s what was on JOE’s mind when he began investigating, eventually reaching the conclusion that label-mate R. Kelly was deliberately sabotaging his career. Joe subsequently left Jive and, in July, released his second independent effort, “Signature”.
JOE’s forthcoming Christmas CD, “Make Sure You’re Home For Christmas”, will be exclusively available at Target stores beginning October 13. You can listen to Joe at his MySpace site.
