Gothenburg bliss-poppers Little Dragon will follow 2007's excellent

self-titled debut with Machine Dreams, a new album for Peacefrog on

August 17.

According to vocalist Yukimi Nagano, "these days, humans seem more and

more like machines, and as technology evolves, machines feel more human

and it becomes fuzzy and beautiful and science fiction-ish. We feel

dependent on our machines to create and live, and their sounds reflect

us". So we guess you can expect a movement towards a more electronic

sound. Their first album was one of 2007's most underrated

full-lengths; a slick Portishead-indebted pop number featuring one of

the year's highlights in 'Test'. They were also pretty ace when we

caught them at Sonar last summer.

The first single from the album will be titled 'Feather', and will be

released either very late August or early September.
