"Rootless Tree" is the second single from the album 9 by Damien Rice. The song is one of Rice's most profane songs, whose chorus reads "Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, and all we've been through / I said leave it, leave it, leave it, It's nothing to you / And if you hate me, hate me, hate me / Then hate me so good that you can let me out, let me out, let me out / Of this hell when you're around." A radio edit was released on the CD single, while the 7" vinyl features the album version. The 7" single is pressed on white-colored vinyl and includes a fold-out poster.
