Sporting mohawks that defy gravity, the Casualties are a band from New York who have ripped off the British punk sound of bands like G.B.H. and Blitz. The bands who they copy were never that great to begin with, and the Casualties' take on the British gutter-punk genre is even more tired. They have a hard time coming up with an even adequately interesting guitar riff and the choruses of their songs are just an endless series of repeated shouts. Such brilliantly titled songs as "Proud to Be Punk" and "Authority Is Dead" prove this to be a band who lacks an original thought. Though, the Casualties can count themselves as very lucky that they scored a spot on the 2002 Warped Tour.
