The Kills are back. Snarl-rockers the Kills have just announced their fifth album, Ash & Ice, which will hit shelves on June 3 via Domino.

Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince have announced that they’ll be following up their 2011 effort ‘Blood Pressures’ on 3rd June, with their newest full-length being released through Domino.

The pair’s fifth album together was mostly recorded in a rented house in Los Angeles, as well as at New York’s infamous Electric Lady Studios. Alongside Hince and Mosshart, the likes of John O’Mahony, Tom Elmhirst and Tchad Blake have all offered their production and mixing skills to the mix.

The band have also unveiled the first taste of the album in the form of ‘Doing It To Death’, which comes complete with a new video from the pair.

Fans of The Kills have been impatiently waiting for new music from the pair, who haven’t released a full-length since 2011’s much-lauded Blood Pressures.

Along with the news of their forthcoming record, the outfit – fire-and-brimstone-powered vocalist Alison Mosshart and masterful guitarist and co-vocalist Jamie Hince – shared the addictive new single Doing It to Death and its accompanying visual.

The video, which features the two members participating in a dancing funeral parade in sweltering heat, perfectly compliments the band’s down and dirty guitar rock blended with drum machine electronics, which sounds better than ever here.

“Thank you for your patience while we perfected our craft, sharpened our teeth and made the journey from first note to last,” they said in their announcement via Twitter.

The duo have also confirmed plans for a UK headline show, set to take place in London on 4th May. It comes in the midst of their upcoming US tour dates. Tickets go on sale this Friday (4th March).
