Though this album is slightly superior to its predecessor, and actually charted in England, old-school Budgie fans should not raise their expectations. Despite showing a few signs of intelligent life on &She Used Me Up& and the pounding &Superstar,& Night Flight ultimately collapses under depressing stabs at melodic hard rock, including the truly atrocious &I Turned to Stone.& In fact, the album's most redeeming feature is the inclusion of the four tracks from 1980's semi-respectable If Swallowed, Do Not Induce Vomiting EP.
