This album is crystal clear from the first notes of the Buck Owens tune &Rosie Jones& to the end of &Ancient History.& It is a tight ensemble album where the instrumental playing is all the more impressive for being excellent but not showy. Strong songs include &Jealous,& &In the Gravel Yard& and &Your Crazy Heart.& There's nothing groundbreaking here, just a solid rootsy bluegrass band album, and that's not bad.
