Colors of the Mind is a set of psychoactive overtones by Steve Gorn. Mixing flutes and bowls, Gorn builds atmospheres from nothingness. His solo flute passages have space music appeal. The acoustic drones from the bowls penetrate directly and deeply. He balances those effects with some subtle electronics. On track two -- &Shayam: The Dark One& -- he has added some Tibetan-style chants, which do not enhance the music at all. This CD will appeal to fans of Klaus Wiese, Karma Moffett, Henry Wolff & Nancy Hennings, and Anugama.
