Brandtson's second full-length album Fallen Star Collection delivers more of the intense, pop-tinged punk that the group introduced on Letterbox. However, this collection of songs is tighter and brighter, while retaining the band's emotional pull. Songs like &As You Wish& and &Things Look Brighter& display all of Brandtson's sonic trademarks - aggressive rhythms and guitars pitted against soaring harmonies - as well as sharp songwriting and a healthy respect for pop hooks. Though Brandtson doesn't break any new musical territory here, with Fallen Star Collection they improve upon an already good thing.
