In the course of four albums, The Connells have evolved their own style within the jangling guitar-rock sound so prevalent in alternative bands of the '80s. Mainly it's been a matter of writing more distinctive songs and having them sung by guitarist George Huntley so they sink in. This is their first album to cross over from the category of &promising& to the beginnings of a fulfillment of that promise.
