Seasons of Your Day is the upcoming fourth studio album by American alternative rock band Mazzy Star, to be released on September 24, 2013. It will be their first album since 1996's Among My Swan, and is the second release on their own independent record label Rhymes of An Hour, following the release of 2011's double A-sided single "Common Burn"/"Lay Myself Down".
Recorded sporadically between 1997 and 2012 in various locations, including California and Norway, the album features contributions from all of the band's original members, as well as Sandoval's Warm Inventions partner Colm Ó Cíosóig, while the late Bert Jansch features on a "guitar duet" with Roback on the song "Spoon."
"California" was released as the album's lead single on July 16, while a music video for the song is expected to be released in August.
The album will be released on several formats, including a 180-gram vinyl double album.
Dates for a North American and European tour in November are expected to be announced soon, while Roback has told Rolling Stone that several album's worth of unreleased material was recorded during the sessions that yielded Seasons of Your Day, and that follow-up albums may be released in the near future.
